A Night at the Theatre – a Tribute to Queen

Please join us on Saturday night, July 27th at the Performing Arts Center for a night to remember!  The Northwood Performing Arts Council is presenting  “A Night at the Theatre – a Tribute to Queen”.  The performance starts at 7:30 pm and reserved tickets are available now at: Northwoodpacnd.org

Paying tribute to another one of the greatest British bands of all time, this tribute show offers glorious vocals with multiple singers and blazing guitar solos.  Queen has rocked us over the years with their chart-topping hits and bountiful b-sides – and Jonny James and the Hall of Fames (JJHOF) is here to keep it all alive.  The core group (Jonny James, Andy, Mike and Matt) are joined by the ridiculously talented Ben Bakken and Brianna Graham.  This show is dedicated to bringing you the live performances of Queen with all the energy, extravagance, and rock you can handle.  Featuring hits like “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Somebody to Love,” “We Will Rock You” and many more.

Even though it is difficult to put a price on music, it was announced in Variety last month that Sony Music will pay Queen approximately $1.27 billion for the band’s music catalog and other rights.  The deal includes future revenue from the Freddie Mercury movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” and any possible musicals containing Queen music in the future.  None of this directly affects us in Northwood, but it does signal to us that Queen music is still very hot and is expected to live on for decades.   If you are already a fan of Queen music, you will want to see this upcoming event!  If not, you may want to consider becoming a fan.  This show is bound to be “A Kind of Magic”!
